MC27/004 Minutes of previous meeting

The minutes of the Mayor’s Charity Sub-Committee meeting held on 15 July 2025, Minute Numbers MC26/001 – MC26/006 were approved as a correct record.

MC27/005 Mayor 2025-26 – Report of final amounts donated to the Mayor’s Charities

In the absence of Councillor Jason Metters, Town Mayor 2025-26, the Town Clerk provided a verbal report on the final value that was collected for his Charities.

The Town Clerk advised the Sub-Committee that the Town Mayor had collected £3,220.80 during his Mayoral year 2025-26, and had asked that the total be shared equally between the three charities.

RESOLVED: That the total sum collected on behalf of the Mayor’s charities for the year 2025-26 be apportioned equally between Stone Community First Responders Stone Alzheimer’s Club and Stone Stroke Club.

MC27/006 Mayor 2026-27 – To confirm the charities for the year

The Town Mayor, Councillor Andrew Best, proposed that his chosen Mayor’s charities for the year 2026-27 would be:

• Stone Alzheimer’s Club

• Stone Scout & Guide Band

• Man Time

RESOLVED: To support the Town Mayor’s choice of proposed charities.
