Stone Town Council
Deputy Town Clerk
Full-Time Permanent (37 hours per week)
£27,905 – £31,371 per annum (pay award pending)
Stone Town Council is a busy local council supporting the town of Stone, Staffordshire.
Due to the impending retirement of the current post holder, the Council are looking to appoint a new Deputy Town Clerk. In addition to deputising in the absence of the Town Clerk, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the Council’s 18 elected Councillors, supervising four employees and undertaking the Council’s day to day financial administration.
This is a varied and interesting role, with significant interaction with members of the public and Councillors, and an involvement in all areas of the Council’s activities.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our small, dedicated team. The successful candidate will have had previous experience of financial administration and be confident in dealing with others. Previous service in the public sector would be an advantage but is by no means essential.
