C27/028 Minutes

RESOLVED:

That the minutes of the Town Council meeting held on 7 July 2026 – (Minute Numbers C27/024 – C27/033), be approved as a correct record.

C27/029 Minutes

RESOLVED:

a) That the draft minutes of the General Purposes Committee meeting held on 7 July 2026 – (Minute Numbers GP27/020 – GP27/037), were noted.

RESOLVED:

b) That the draft minutes of the Planning Consultative meeting held on 7 July 2026 – (Minute Numbers PC27/013 – PC27/018), were noted.

C27/030 To Thank the Outgoing Mayor’s Cadets for their Services during 2025 – 2026

The Town Mayor had invited the outgoing Mayor’s Cadets to attend the Town Council meeting, to enable the past Town Mayor, Councillor J. Metters, to thank them for their conscientious service during the completed Mayoral Year 2025 – 2026.

Due to other commitments, Corporal Brooke Lippitt and Corporal Bella Balderson were unable to attend the meeting to receive their certificates of appreciation in acknowledgement of their duty and support.

Councillor Metters expressed his appreciation and asked that the Town Mayor, Councillor Best to ensure the Cadets were thanked for their diligence and service and that their certificates of appreciation were forwarded on to the Cadets following the meeting.

C27/033 To receive the Town Mayor’s and Deputy Town Mayor’s Reports of Engagements

The Town Mayor’s and Deputy Town Mayor’s reports of engagements, which had previously been circulated, were noted.

The Town Mayor provided the Town Council with additional verbal reports on the details of his engagements.
