Alternative Car Event – Saturday 26th September 2026

Stone Town Council will host its first Alternative Car Event on Saturday 26th September 2026. This free event will take place in the High Street and Market Square between 10:00am and 2:00pm.

Following on from the success of the classic car event earlier in the year Stone Town Council has been working with the Stone Carnival Committee to organise a collection of cars ‘with a difference’!

The cars on display at the event will include custom, tuned, kit and American cars and will hopefully provide visitors with a different perspective on cars!

Councillor Jill Hood, Chairman of the Council’s Tourism and Town Promotion Sub-Committee said “The Town Council is excited to be bringing a new car event to the High Street. Residents and visitors alike thoroughly enjoy the annual classic car event and so we were keen to build on that success. It has been a pleasure to work alongside the Stone Carnival Committee and we are very grateful for their support in co-ordinating this event, which is free to attend and is destined to be another family favourite. This is a great opportunity to get up close and personal with unique cars that you would not normally come across on the roads!”

A road closure will be in place for the High Street from 7:00am – 4:30pm on the day so no vehicles other than the cars which are part of the event will be able to access the High Street during those times.
