Mayor’s Charity Street Collection and Easter Egg Trail – Saturday 4th April 2026
The Stone Town Mayor, Councillor Jason Metters, will be holding a street collection in and around the town, this Saturday, 4th April 2026 as part of his fundraising efforts for his chosen charities, Stone Community First Responders, Alzheimer’s Club and Stone Stroke Club.
The Mayor will also be hosting an Easter Egg Trail in and around the High Street on the same day to raise further funds for the charities. The trail will see children work their way round various local businesses, answering Easter-related questions and collecting letters to complete an Easter anagram.
Entry sheets can be purchased from the Mayor’s marquee on the day for £2 (please note that only cash payment can be accepted).
All proceeds will go towards the Mayor’s chosen charities and there is the chance to win some Easter goodies too!!
Both activities will be subject to suitable weather conditions. Updates will be posted on the Town Council’s Facebook page.
Councillor Metters said “It is a great honour to act as Mayor of Stone and I am particularly pleased to be raising funds for such deserving causes, which will be used to better the lives of the town’s people. The Easter Egg Trail will be a fun way for families to help our fundraising efforts and I am very grateful to the local businesses who have made the trail possible.”
