PC26/014 Declarations of Interest and Requests for Dispensations

Councillor T. Kelt declared an interest in planning application 25/40687/HOU (33 the Avenue, Stone).

The Committee considered a request for a dispensation from Councillor Kelt in relation to planning application 25/40687/HOU.

Councillor Kelt had in advance of the meeting requested a dispensation to allow him to provide the Committee with information on the details of planning application 25/40687/HOU. A copy of the written request was distributed to each Town Councillor present at the meeting.

RESOLVED: That Councillor Kelt be granted a dispensation to speak but not vote on planning application 25/40687/HOU (agenda item 5, Minute Number PC26/017).

Councillor J. Hood advised the Committee that, as a member of Stafford Borough Council’s Planning Committee, she would not speak or vote on the planning applications listed on the agenda.

Development – Single storey side extension, demolition of cross gable into new gabled room, dormer loft conversion.
Observations: No objections

Application Number – 25/40501/HOU
Applicant – Mrs S. Yates
Location – 39 Hill Drive, Stone
Development – Retrospective application for the retention of 1.746m boundary fence, alteration of ground levels and retaining walls within the garden, to include removal of elements of the unauthorised fence and gates, repositioning of fence and extension of driveway.
Observations: The Town Council supports the objections raised by residents and the County Highways Department in response to this planning application. As a general principle the Council is not in support of retrospective planning applications.

Development – Demolish existing conservatory. Proposed rear single storey extension. Part re-modelling of ground floor.
Observations: The Town Council has no objections in principle to this planning application but would like the parking and construction details to be clarified.
