Caretaker – Frank Jordan Community Centre
12.5 Hours per Week – £7.50 per Hour
Stone Town Council has recently refurbished the Frank Jordan Community Centre, and is now looking for a part-time caretaker to work alongside the existing cleaning contractor to support users and maintain the quality of the Centre.
Duties will include opening and closing for bookings, some layout of furniture in advance of bookings, and monitoring the centre to ensure that it continues to be well maintained and cared for.
The role is initially for 12.5 hours per week. It is anticipated that the cleaning contract will end on 31st March 2018, at which point the caretaker’s hours would increase to 20 per week and the post would be extended to take on cleaning responsibilities in addition to caretaking. Applications are invited either on a temporary basis to 31st March 2018 for the caretaking role only or on a permanent basis including the change in hours and duties occurring on 1st April 2018.
Opening and closing of the centre could occur at various times of day according to the spread of bookings, and include evenings and/or weekends. It is essential that the person appointed is able to accommodate this varied schedule.
The closing date for applications will be midnight on 18th September 2017.
